We started up our Ireland tour business over ten years ago as a labour of love. We are proud of our success and invite you to discover Ireland and Scotland with us. Our tours are personally tailored intineraries that fit to you or your groups needs. Visit small towns, and journey through mountain passes to the sea. We cover it all! Come and discover the less traveled Ireland and Scotland.
Ron and Aileen Beed are Nova Scotians with Irish relatives in Tipperary and Scottish connections in Knoydart and Barra in the Outer Hebrides. Both of them have lived for short periods of time in Donegal, Wicklow and Sligo in Ireland, as Ron studied Irish Literature, History and Irish Language for his Degree in Irish Studies from St. Mary's University in Halifax. Both have traveled the highways and bye ways of Northern and Southern Ireland since 1985. In 1994, against all advice from friends and relatives, they took up residence in a small Irish cottage in Ballisadare, near Sligo while they volunteered with a group of Carmelite Monks and Nuns from Nova Scotia, who were reconstructing an estate with stone buildings that is now a jewel in the Irish countryside with residences, library, cottages for visitors and beautiful gardens.
Over the years we have taken many people with us as we toured around Scotland and Ireland and in 1995 we decided to share our experiences with others in a small business venture. So we now own and operate a small group Tour business in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia which specializes in planning Itineraries and arranging small group tours of Scotland and Ireland.
Ron and Aileen have travelled all over Scotland since 1994 with their small group tours and especially enjoy the Outer Hebredian Islands from Coll and Tiree to Barra, Uist, Lewis and Harris. They have also volunteered on three occasions with the Iona Community to manage and operate the famous Iona Abbey in Argyle.
We keep our tours small in number, we travel as much as possible in the countryside, leave later in the mornings after a heartybreakfast, try to stay for days in each location, with time on your own. We give you a bit of history, a bit of music, lots of scenery and good company.
